September is Glass Recycling Month, so why don’t you get off your ‘glass’ and recycle!
September 2016 is an especially noteworthy month for The Glass Recycling Company (TGRC) as not only is it Glass Recycling Month; an important month for awareness of glass recycling in South Africa, but also TGRC’s 10th year in operation!
TGRC is incredibly proud to celebrate this decade of hard work and commitment to glass recycling! Recycling is such an important habit and this month, more than ever, the glass recycling team wants to ensure every South African realises the value of recycling glass and actively embraces this practice.
The company’s core objective is to keep glass alive by promoting the practice of recycling and reusing this environmentally friendly packaging.
TGRC aims to educate, enable, encourage and inspire individuals to separate their glass for recycling, but do not physically collect or recycle the glass. The company’s focus extends beyond consumers and communities, but also to entrepreneurs to build viable income-streams while reducing the burden of waste. TGRC aims to uplift impoverished communities by creating income generating opportunities and skills development in the recycling sector.
